Kelleys Island visit 2009

We rented a house for a week on Kelleys Island, Ohio. The house was called "The Getaway" from Leisure World Vacation rentals.

Saturday (June 27): A bad start as the van wouldn't start. We bought a new car battery.

Took ferry out to Kelleys Island.

Sunday - a couple of trips to the beach.

Monday - a catamaran ride to South Bass Island.

Visited the U.S. Brig Niagara, a museum ship. The original USS Niagara took part in the Battle of Lake Erie in 1813. Some of the crew were busy covering cardboard boxes with duct tape.

Tuesday -

Wednesday - visited Ann Arbor.

Thursday -

Friday - various friends visited us on the island.

Saturday (July 4) - Saw fireworks from the dock.

Sunday - returned from Kelleys Island to Rochester, NY. Late lunch with friends in Cleveland.
